Dakotaland Feeds, LLC is a livestock feed manufacturer and distributor headquartered in Huron, South Dakota, that also operates four company owned retail locations. Dakotaland is a licensed manufacture and distributor for Purina Animial Nutrition. The company manufactures and distributes dry and liquid feeds, minerals, and co-products merchandised from surrounding ethanol plants. Dakotaland Feeds, LLC strives to achieve the most efficient methods to distribute livestock feed throughout geography served by its cooperative owners. The key to the company’s success is its superior customer service-oriented sales and support staff who go the extra mile to serve the needs of its farm producers and dealer partners.

Position Purpose:
The Location Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations and sales of the Medina, ND location. Our Medina ND location is a full-line Purina Animal Nutrition Dealer. This position requires strong customer service and leadership skills. The goals of this position consist of running safe, clean and efficient operations along with increased year-over-year sales and increased revenues. Improving margin by operating and distributing feed efficiently will be key to success in this role. Strong communication skills and developing trusting relationships with employees and customers will be paramount in this position.

Other responsibilities include: Managing all plant resources to optimize profitability to meet or exceed internal and external customer expectations. Creating a positive work environment that supports continuous improvement and employee engagement. Support sales by promoting products, marketing and conducting producer meetings to increase sales.

Qualifications

Experience-Education:
Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Animal Science/Ag Business, or related field with relevant experience. 5+ years’ experience in sales or other leadership positions. Experience in program management and administration.

Experience-Education (Preferred):
Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science or relevant experience
Location management and sales experience.
